Night racing is still going strong

Night racing is still going on strong, even though the school semester has started. The hottest class of the night had to be the 125 Pros again. Even though it might seem that -we're Pro-prejudiced, you're wrong. Anybody that caught a glimpse of' this 125 race has to agree, there, was a full-blown battle going on.

In the first moto, FMF rider | Willie Simons pulled out into the lead, with C.H. rider Bobby Jones hot on his heels. The two diced for quite a while, with Jones finally getting the lead and pulling away from Simons.

Everybody hoped for another battle in the second moto, but it never came off. Jones and Simons both got good starts, but Jones went out after a half lap with a bum chain. That same problem stopped Simons three laps later. With these two out of the way, it left Dean Taylor, Andy Jannings and Mark Boren fighting for position. When all the dust cleared, it was discovered that Dean Taylor took the overall on his Honda, followed by Jannings, riding for the Pipe Works. Third fell to Mark Boren, riding his Honda for Bill Boren Honda.

In the 125 Junior class, there was quite a battle. This time, the big winner was none other than Doug Spiker, riding his Honda for Aircone. Keeping Doug honest in this class was Dean Glasse, riding for Nature Foods.
