It finally happened... Moto Madness struck today at Saddleback Park. For weeks now Stu and Kelvin have been talking about the Mini Race for Pro Riders; It finally happened! When time came for the race to go, some of the Pros were still scampering around in the pits trying to con little kids out of their bikes. One guy who happens to be a wheeler dealer, Rick Atkins to name him, offered both of his R&D tuned rockets to anyone who would split their winnings with him. Rick really made out as he loaned the bikes to Brian Myerscough and David "Roo" Taylor, both of whom were winners and Rick wound up with $35 to play with.

As the 20 Pros came hauling around the turn at the bottom of Webco tower, they were all smiles, most looked to be having the time of their lives. Mike Bell had his long legs tucked almost under his chin. Dale McKinney and Steve Blackwell dumped their bikes in the mud and just lay there laughing. Gary Jones and Val Tamietti scooting around seeing which of them could cut the course and drive the other into a mud hole. Everyone had a great time and are hoping the brains behind CMC will offer them this silliness again soon. The only bad part of the race was that some of the riders were too cheap to kick in five dollars that went into the 100% payback purse. That's cheating fellas.
